University of Cambridge and Student Accommodation (Summer Only)

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be a student at one of the world’s most prestigious Universities? With a range of en-suite and standard student accommodation at Sidney Sussex and Selwyn Colleges, OISE offers you the chance to experience the atmosphere of 800 years of academia.

Selwyn College

Selwyn is one of the most delightful colleges in Cambridge, reflecting many of the characteristics that one would expect of this university city.

The College offers authentic university accommodation but in state-of-the-art surroundings. Each room is for single occupancy, with the option for en-suite bathroom at an additional weekly supplement. Breakfast and evening meals are served in the College’s historic dining room with beautiful views across the elegant courtyard.

Getting to school: The College is about a 20-minute walk from the school. There are also direct bus services (Uni 4) to the school and cycles are on hire from the school at £25 per week. We recommend cycling as it’s a great way to get around Cambridge and the surrounding countryside.

The Porters’ Lodge is open 24 hours a day. The Porters are very important to the smooth running of the College and will help you with any questions.

Our students have use of:

  • The 19th Century Dining Hall for breakfast and dinner
  • College shop
  • Extensive grounds
  • Free Wi-Fi
  • Laundry facilities

Sidney Sussex

Founded in 1596, Sidney Sussex is one of the most historic and architecturally appealing colleges in the university, and certainly one of the most interesting. One of its more infamous and controversial alumni was Oliver Cromwell, who has been voted one of the 10 most influential people in the history of England and whose head is now buried in the College grounds after being posthumously executed by Charles II in 1661. The College is situated in the heart of Cambridge, 15 minutes’ walk from the school, offering a glimpse of life as a student at one of the world’s top academic centres.

The contemporary residential campus is positioned 300 meters from the College and has single room accommodation, with shared & en-suite bathrooms. Breakfast and dinner is served in the College dining room each morning and evening. The residence has WiFi throughout and laundry facilities.
